Autumn 2018, flying in a Cessna 172 over the southern cost of Iceland. The air was still and we slid through it like a knife through soft butter. Late in the day, with no wind in our way, we caught a group of seals sunbathing on a dune revealed by the low tide at the end of the delta, before the glacial river collided with the sea.
